Our challenge was to rebrand one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic leather brands, PG Martin, a heritage name that has been crafting leather bags since 1948. With decades of legacy and recognition among Sri Lankans, the task was to modernize and elevate the brand while preserving its deep-rooted heritage.

The challenge lay in creating an identity that honored its history yet positioned PG Martin as a premium global brand capable of standing alongside the world’s best in leather craftsmanship.

Approach

We crafted a signature monogram using the letters PG, a timeless mark that captures the soul of PG Martin. This monogram was designed to be more than just a logo; it’s an emblem of craftsmanship and legacy, one that can be proudly heat-pressed onto every leather bag as a true mark of authenticity.

The moment someone sees PG, they instantly connect it to PG Martin. Alongside this, we developed a modular logo system consisting of the main logo, sub-logo, and wordmark, all working seamlessly together. To complete the transformation, we introduced a refined design language and an elevated color palette to showcase how the brand and its packaging could evolve. Through this rebrand, we’ve reimagined PG Martin as a heritage brand reborn for the modern world.
