Our challenge was to create an iconic Sri Lankan arrack brand that felt both modern and rooted in heritage. With Suria meaning sun, the goal was to craft a design that celebrates Sri Lankan culture through a distinctive sun emblem one that feels authentic, detailed, and instantly recognizable.

We built the brand around a hand-illustrated sun, inspired by traditional Sri Lankan motifs, brought to life through fine detailing, gold foiling, and subtle textural finishes. The composition was kept minimal and elegant, allowing the intricate sun to take center stage its rays almost shining across the label, bringing warmth, heritage, and pride to the design.
Every decision from typography to layout was made to enhance the story without overpowering it. The result is a refined, culturally expressive identity that celebrates local artistry while positioning Suria as a proud, premium arrack for the modern market.
